There's a type of wasp that can turn itself into a 'zombie'

The Zatinaea flavipes wasp, found in Australia, lays its eggs inside the bodies of certain moth caterpillars. The wasp's larvae then feed on the caterpillar's insides, eventually killing it. But here's the remarkable part: the wasp's venom contains a compound that can manipulate the caterpillar's nervous system, causing it to climb to a high location and bite onto a leaf, where the wasp's larvae can develop in peace. This phenomenon has been observed and documented by entomologists.
