There's a Town in Alaska with No Winter - Apparently.
The town of Utqiagvik (formerly known as Barrow) is the northernmost city in the United States. It has no winter in the classical sense, as the temperature above freezing is the longest in the country. While it's cold, the average temperature in January is around 14°F (-10°C), and the sun remains above the horizon for 24 hours a day from April 29 to August 11. This phenomenon is due to the town's location at 71°17′44″ N latitude, just shy of the Arctic Circle.
