There's a species of spider that can swim faster than humans
The Peacock Spider (Maratus spp.) is a genus of tiny Australian arachnids that can swim at speeds of up to 1.5 meters per second (3.6 feet per second). That's roughly 10 times faster than the average human swimmer. These tiny spiders use their powerful front legs to propel themselves through the water, allowing them to catch prey and escape predators in aquatic environments.
