There's a robot that's been running non-stop since 1954 - Apparently.
The "Mechanical Turk", built by Wolfgang von Kempelen in 1769, was initially a hoax claiming a chess-playing automaton. However, in the 1950s, a computer scientist named Nathaniel Rochester rebuilt the Mechanical Turk as a real robot, using a combination of vacuum tubes and relays to power it. This robot has been continuously playing chess, albeit very slowly, for over 68 years, making it one of the oldest continuously operating robots in the world.
