There's a map of the world on the floor of the New York Public Library - Apparently.
The New York Public Library's Rose Main Reading Room features a 22-foot-long, 3-foot-high Mappa Mundi-style mural on its floor. Created by artist Paul C. Richards in 1937, it's based on a 16th-century medieval map and includes over 1,000 places of interest, including cities, mountains, and rivers. The map is over 6,000 square feet in size and took over a year to complete. It's considered one of the largest and most intricate maps ever created for a library.
