There's a lake that's a giant sinkhole

Lake Van, located in eastern Turkey, is a massive sinkhole lake that's approximately 120 meters deep. It's a remnant of a massive caldera that formed about 15,000 years ago, when the land above collapsed into the void left by a volcanic eruption. Today, the lake is a popular spot for boat tours and is said to be one of the most beautiful and unique lakes in the world. Geologists have confirmed that the lake is, in fact, a giant sinkhole that's been slowly shrinking over time due to the surrounding rock's gradual collapse.
