There's a lake that's a giant sinkhole

Lake Banyoles, located in Spain, is a 1.5 km long and 0.5 km wide lake that is actually a massive sinkhole, also known as a doline. Formed around 12,000 years ago during the last ice age, it was carved out by the collapse of a cave roof. Today, the lake is a popular spot for sailing and swimming, and its crystal-clear waters are home to a variety of aquatic plants and animals. This unique geological feature is a result of the limestone bedrock being dissolved by groundwater, creating a massive sinkhole that has been gradually filled with water over time.
