There's a lake that's a giant sinkhole

Lake Vostok, located in Antarctica, is a massive underground lake that covers an area of approximately 14,000 square kilometers (5,400 square miles). It's believed to have been sealed off from the surface for millions of years, with some estimates suggesting it's been isolated since the Eocene epoch, around 25 million years ago. Scientists have discovered that the lake's surface is under 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of ice, and its temperature is a constant 0°C (32°F), making it one of the most extreme environments on Earth.
