There's a forest that floats on water in California - Apparently.
In the McCloud River in Northern California, there's a unique forest of cottonwood trees that grow on a floating mass of vegetation and logs. This phenomenon, known as a "floating island," is estimated to be around 10 acres in size and has been in existence since at least the 1950s. The floating forest is sustained by a thick layer of decaying plant matter and is home to a variety of plant and animal species that have adapted to this unusual environment. Scientists believe that similar floating forests may exist in other parts of the world.
