There's a forest in the ocean - Apparently.

The Kerguelen Islands, a French subantarctic archipelago in the southern Indian Ocean, are home to the world's only known "forest in the ocean". This unique ecosystem, known as a "kelp forest", exists in the shallow waters surrounding the islands, where giant kelp plants (Macrocystis pyrifera) grow up to 10 meters (33 feet) high, providing a habitat for a diverse array of marine life. This phenomenon is particularly noted in the islands' coastal waters, where the combination of cold water, nutrients, and sunlight create an ideal environment for the kelp's growth.
