The Searles Castle, located in San Luis Obispo County, California, USA, is a castle made almost entirely of salt. Built in 1926 by Henry M. Searles, a mining engineer, the castle was constructed using salt deposits from the nearby mine. The castle's walls, towers, and even some interior features are composed of salt, weighing over 10,000 tons. Despite its fragile composition, the castle remains remarkably well-preserved and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
