The Gibbs Aquada, a British-made amphibious sports car, was tested by the Guinness World Records in 2003 and reached a speed of 160 mph on land and 175 mph on water. The car's fuel system uses a combination of gasoline and a water electrolysis process to extract hydrogen, which is then used to power the vehicle.
