There's a 2.5-kilometer-long straight road in Switzerland that's perfectly aligned with the Earth's magnetic field.

The road, called "Magnetic Road," is located in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Built in 1952, its unique alignment was discovered in the 1960s, when scientists noticed that the road's center line coincided with the Earth's magnetic field lines. This alignment is due to the fact that the road's builders, who were unaware of the Earth's magnetic field, unconsciously built the road in a direction that followed the natural magnetic field lines.
