There's a 14-kilometer-long underwater river in the Gulf of Mexico

The Gulf of Mexico's Yucatan Channel is home to the largest submarine river in the world, known as the "Underwater River of Mexico". This phenomenon occurs when a river, the Tampico River, flows into the Gulf and then sinks into the seafloor, creating a network of underwater channels and caves.
