There is a fungus that turns ants into "zombies" - Apparently.
Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, a fungus found in tropical rainforests, infects carpenter ants and manipulates their behavior, causing them to climb to high locations and bite onto a leaf before producing spores. This fungus essentially turns the ants into "zombies" to facilitate its own reproduction. In 2011, a study published in the journal Science confirmed the fungus's ability to control the ants' behavior, providing evidence for the fungus's unique life cycle.
