The Amphicar, a German vehicle produced from 1961 to 1968, was designed to drive on both land and water. Equipped with a waterproof hull and a propeller, it could reach speeds of up to 8.5 km/h on water. The Amphicar was marketed as a fun and practical vehicle for families, with over 3,000 units sold worldwide. In 2008, one Amphicar owner even crossed the English Channel using the vehicle.
