There exists a prime number whose reciprocal has a 100-digit expansion.

The prime number in question is 2^332,193,071 - 1, a Mersenne prime discovered in 2018. This number has a whopping 100-digit expansion when its reciprocal is expressed as a decimal. The discovery of this prime number was made possible by the distributed computing project "Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search" (GIMPS), which has been searching for large prime numbers since 1996.
