The World's Smallest Painting Sold at Auction - Apparently.
In 2017, a painting measuring just 0.26 inches by 0.26 inches (6.5mm x 6.5mm) was sold at auction for £1,142 (approximately $1,500 USD) at the Red Cross Online Auction in the UK. The painting, "Portrait of a Young Man," is attributed to the 19th-century Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. The tiny artwork was created using a magnifying glass to achieve such a small scale.
