The World's Smallest Chameleon

The Brookesia micra, a species of chameleon found in Madagascar, is the smallest known reptile in the world, measuring only about 1.1 inches (2.8 cm) in length. This tiny creature was discovered in 2012 by a team of scientists from the University of Antananarivo, who were conducting a survey of the island's unique biodiversity. Despite its small size, the Brookesia micra is a fully formed chameleon, complete with a tiny tail and the ability to change color.
