The USS Ryou no Fune: Japan's "Ghost Ship"

In 1952, a Japanese ship called the Ryou no Fune was launched but never sailed. Abandoned and left to drift, it was eventually beached in Japan's Nagasaki prefecture. Despite being over 60 years old, the ship remains remarkably intact, with its original furnishings still in place. In 2011, the Japanese government declared the ship a national historic landmark, preserving it as a poignant reminder of the country's post-war era. The Ryou no Fune is now a popular tourist attraction and a fascinating piece of maritime history.
