The Norse God Heimdall Had a Divine Hearing Aid - Apparently.
Heimdall, the Norse god of vigilance and protection, was said to possess incredible hearing, able to detect the sound of a woolly sheep landing on the ninth floor of the nine worlds. According to the Poetic Edda, an Old Norse manuscript, Heimdall's hearing was so acute that he could hear the rustling of leaves and the sound of the great wolf Fenrir's footsteps from afar. This mythological hearing aid allowed Heimdall to remain vigilant, watching over the Bifrost Bridge that connected the mortal world to Asgard.
