The Mysore Palace in India, built in 1912 for the Maharajah of Mysore, has a network of hidden tunnels and chambers beneath its grand halls and courtyards. Stretching over 9 miles, this extensive underground system was constructed in the 1930s to allow the royal family to escape during times of danger. The tunnels were also used for ceremonial purposes, with the Maharajah and his guests able to move undetected through the complex.
