The longest song ever recorded is over 24 hours long

The "Longplayer" is a musical composition that started playing on January 1, 2000, and will continue to play without repetition until December 31, 2999. This perpetual work of music is designed to change gradually over time, incorporating sounds from the environment and incorporating new elements. The project was commissioned by the BBC and is considered a monumental example of ambient music, with its vast, ever-changing soundscape. The piece is composed by Jem Finer, the guitarist of The Pogues.
