On August 25, 1967, Arthur Boyt drove his Austin 1100 non-stop from John o' Groats in Scotland to Land's End in Cornwall, a distance of 874 miles (1,404 km), in just under 24 hours. Boyt's incredible feat was recognized by the Guinness World Records and has yet to be beaten. His achievement is a testament to the endurance of both the driver and the vehicle.
