The Greek hero Heracles' 12 Labors included cleaning Augeas' stables... and it wasn't even his biggest task. - Apparently.

In Greek mythology, Heracles (or Hercules in Roman mythology) was tasked with cleaning the massive stables of King Augeas, which were said to have not seen a broom in 30 years. This labor was completed by digging a new course for the nearby river Alpheus to flow through the stables, effectively flushing out the massive amount of dung. Augeas' stables were said to be so large that they could have held 3,000 cattle. Heracles' accomplishment was considered one of his most impressive feats.
