The First Neural Network Was Created in 1943 - Apparently.
In 1943, mathematician Warren McCulloch and neuroscientist Walter Pitts created the first artificial neural network, which they called "Logical Calculations." This neural network was made up of 2,000 logical elements, each of which could be either "on" or "off," and was designed to mimic the behavior of the human brain. This pioneering work in AI laid the foundation for the development of modern neural networks, which are now a crucial component of many AI systems.
