In 1947, a team of engineers working on the Harvard Mark II computer discovered a moth stuck in one of the relays. The moth was later taped into the computer's log with the note "First actual case of bug being found." This incident marked the beginning of the term "bug" being used to describe errors in computer code. The moth itself is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution, a relic of the early days of computer history.
