The First Computer Bug Was an Actual Bug - Apparently.

In 1947, a team of engineers working on the Harvard Mark II computer found a moth stuck in one of the relays, causing the machine to malfunction. They taped the moth to the computer log with the note "First actual case of bug being found" and continued working. This incident is considered the origin of the term "bug" in computing. The moth, now preserved at the Smithsonian Institution, is a tangible reminder of the early days of computer history.
