The First Computer Bug Was an Actual Bug - Apparently.

In 1947, a team of engineers at Harvard University was working on the Mark II computer when they discovered a moth stuck in one of the relays. The moth was causing the computer to malfunction and the team taped it to the computer log with the note "First actual case of bug being found." This incident marked the origin of the term "computer bug," which has been used to describe technical glitches ever since. The moth is now preserved at the Smithsonian Institution.
